Sophomore forward Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 8, 2017. Diemer notched a triple-double and a double-double in Rockford's two games last week. He opened with 26 points, on 11-for-16 shooting, 13 rebounds and 11 assists to record the first triple-double for a Regent men's basketball player in over 10 years. He then followed up Wednesday's outstanding performance with 21 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday to tally his fourth double-double of the season. For the week Diemer averaged a double-double with 23.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.0 steal.
