Senior pitcher Mariah Martinez has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 3, 2024. Martinez earned all three of Rockford's wins inside the circle last week. In her two starts, Martinez went a combined 9 innings, allowing no runs and just four hits, while striking out nine. She then picked up her third win of the week coming out of the bullpen in the Regents' 10-9 comeback victory over SUNY Potsdam. For the week, Martinez threw 10 innings, allowed 1 run, 5 hits and struck out 9 while walking just 2. She posted a 0.70 ERA, a .70 WHIP and a .152 batting average against.Â
