Junior midfielder Lexie Collins (Earlville Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 10, 2017. Collins led the RU women's soccer team to a pair of wins last week and was the Regents' top female runner on the cross country team at the Spartan Classic. She opened her week with a hat-trick on Wednesday including scoring the game-winning goal in Rockford's 8-0 victory over Eureka College. On Friday, Collins set a personal best by nearly two minutes in the 6k as she crossed the finish line in 27:00.2 to place 67th out of 117 runners. She then concluded her week by playing in all 180 minutes of Rockford's two soccer matches on Saturday and Sunday. Collins was heavily involved in the Regents' 2-1 victory on Sunday, assisting on the first goal and then scoring the game-winning goal midway through the second half.
