CHICAGO, Ill.- The Rockford University women's team recovered quickly from a lopsided loss in their season opener in the Chicago tournament. Rockford controlled the game from end to end and led by a wide margin 49-7 after the first half. They out rebounded Illinois Institute 46 to 35 and finished with 16 assists and 16 steals.

Rockford was once again led by Lindsay Lengjak (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah). She scored 19 points on 6 of 10 shooting and added in 7 rebounds. Also scoring double digits was Erin Ryczek (South Beloit, Ill./Hononegah) with a game high 24 points. She shot an impressive 8 for 11 from the field and 6 of 7 from the line. Katie Clark (Rock City, Ill./Dakota) again dominated on the boards as she led the Regents with nine rebounds and also scored six points. Arielle Nichols (Tampa, Fla./Land O' Lakes) continued to do well off of the bench as she was the third Regent to score in double digits, finishing with ten points.
