LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University softball team dropped both games to the UW-Stevens Point Pointers on Thursday afternoon. After a fast start for the Regents in game one, the Pointers put up ten unanswered runs to force the run rule in the sixth inning with a final score of 10-2. The Regents led the start of the nightcap as well, but fell behind and couldn't recover, falling in game two 8-4.

UWSP 10 Rockford 3
- Rockford got the hits rolling quickly to start game one. A single by Bella Lima and a double by Candace Kipp set up Kariana Williams for the two-RBI single that gave Rockford the first runs of the game.
- The Regents held the lead until the third inning, when UW-Stevens Point tallied a three-run comeback to take the lead 3-2.
- The Pointers controlled the rest of the game with a mountain of runs, scoring another seven unanswered in the fifth and sixth innings. With the final runs in the bottom of the sixth, UWSP reached the run-rule and took the victory in game one 10-2.
UWSP 11 Rockford 3
- The Regents scored to open game two. Bella Lima scored on an error to give the Regents a 1-0 advantage.
- Rockford again held UW-Stevens Point without a run until the third inning, when back-to-back doubles earned them the tying run.
- The Pointers later took the lead in the fourth inning with two runs off a single and a sacrifice fly to make the score 3-1.
- UWSP added a run in the fifth but scored its final three runs in the sixth inning, recording three hits and tallying four runs. The Pointers led 8-1.
- With one last chance at a comeback, the Regents needed runs in the top of the seventh. Olivia Lysaght attempted to steal second, allowing Audrey Mendenhall to steal home and cut the lead to 8-2. With one out, Jennifer Ruesch knocked a single to score another, and a fielder's choice in the next at-bat brought home the third run of the inning and making the score 8-4.
- The Pointers managed to record the final out shortly after, taking game two and the series by a final score of 8-4.
