ROSCOE, Ill. - The Rockford University softball team fell twice 8-0 and 13-1 to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons in a Monday night NACC doubleheader. The Falcons quickly struck, taking an early 7-0 lead and Rockford found it tough to battle back against the tough Falcon pitching. Concordia Wisconsin added on again in the 5th to make it an 8-0 game and were able to hold the Regents and take game one via the mercy rule. Game two followed a similar path, with the Falcons striking early and often, plating three in the 1st to go up 3-0 early. Rockford also had a tough time getting the offense going but was able to scratch a run on the board. The Falcons scored again in the 3rd and 4th innings to take a commanding 13-1 lead, which despite a fight at the end by the Regents, ultimately led to the win for Concordia Wisconsin in 5 innings.

- The Falcons quickly took control of the game with a 7-run first inning, starting the day with a 7-0 lead.
- The Regents were able to get a runner in scoring position in their half of the 1st, but were unable to scratch anything across, keeping the Regents scoreless.
- After a lead-off single in the top of the 2nd, Regents' pitcher Mariah Martinez was then able to settle in and retired the next 10 batters in a row.
- Rockford got another baserunner in the bottom of the 2nd, but unfortunately was unable to get anything going.
- CUW was able to strike again in the top of the 5th with an RBI single to make it an 8-0 game and force the Regents to score to continue the game, unfortunately the Falcons were able to take care of business and hold on for the 8-0 game one win.
Concordia Wisconsin 13 Rockford 1
- Concordia Wisconsin struck early again in game two, this time with a 3-run first inning that brought all 9 hitters to the plate.
- The Falcons struck yet again with a 5-run inning in the 2nd to put themselves up 8-0 and then a 4-run 3rd inning to take a commanding 12-0 lead early.
- The Regents were able to get something going in the bottom of the 3rd, with a 1-out double by Michaela Froehlich, Mia Consentino then came into pinch-run for Froehlich, and after singles from both Jocelyn Callahan and Olivia Lysaght, Chayton Krueger was able to plate Consentino with a sac fly into center to put Rockford on the board.
- The Falcons extended their lead again in the 4th, grabbing a single run to make it a 13-1 game.
- Rockford did fight until the end, getting a runner to third with 1 out, but the Falcons were able to hold on again and take game two, 13-1 securing the sweep for CUW.
