GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Rockford University men's volleyball team fell to the Greenville University Panthers in three sets.
The usual suspects led the way for the Regents.
Jordan Hurst totaled 13 kills.
Tsubasa Namai piled up 28 assists.
Jacob Brewster paced the team in digs with 12.
Rockford led to start the first set before a 5-0 run put Greenville in the driver seat, taking a 14-8 lead, and kept the Regents at bay from there, taking the first set 25-17.
The Regents again started the second set well. They held a 4-1 lead after multiple Namai to Hurst connections. The Panthers once again went on a run to steal momentum, taking the lead back 7-5. The set was back and forth until the end, when Greenville pulled off another 5-1 run to win it 25-18.
The final set had the widest margin of the three. Rockford was down 15-12 before everything turned in favor of the Panthers, who went 10-3 down the stretch to seal the sweep 25-15.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 28, when they go to Lakeland for a NACC match-up at 1 p.m. CST.
