Cole Weber was named the Assistant Sports Information Director in March of 2025. Weber is also working on his Master’s in Sport Management and Leadership here at Rockford University.

Prior to Rockford, Weber spent the summer of 2025 as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Marion Berries, based in Salem, Ore., the newest member of the West Coast League. He was the color commentator for men’s and women’s basketball at Western Oregon University over their 2024-25 seasons.

As an undergrad at Pacific University, Weber spent multiple years working in the field of sports information. He worked as a sports information intern, writing pregame and postgame stories, directing livestreams at basketball games, assisting with game-day setup, public address announcing, as well as broadcasting baseball and softball. He also wrote for the school newspaper, the Pacific Index, in the fall of 2024.

During the summer of 2023, Weber worked as a sports media intern for the Mavericks League, an independent semi-pro summer baseball league playing their games at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, Ore. Besides directing livestreams and assisting with setup, he also operated the center field and third base cameras and commentated three games at the end of the summer.

Weber, a native of Shedd, Ore., graduated from Pacific University in 2025, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Communications. He played four years of football for the Boxers.
