Rockford University

Maya Mitchell enters her first season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Rockford University.

A native of Shakopee, Minnesota, Mitchell brings collegiate playing experience at the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. She began her collegiate career at Rock Valley College before transferring to Oakland University and concluded her playing career at Davenport University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in applied science.

Mitchell competed at multiple levels of collegiate basketball before transitioning into coaching. She is pursuing a master's degree in sport management and leadership at Rockford University while serving on the Regents women's basketball coaching staff.
