Neelah Vandeberg enters her first season as an assistant softball coach at Rockford University.
From Cedarville, Ill., Vandeberg started her collegiate playing career at Highland Community College. She excelled both on the field and in the classroom, being recognized as All-Arrowhead Conference and Academic All-Conference during her two years at HCC.
Vandeberg spent the last two years with the Regents as a two-way player and duel-sport athlete. She was a 2x NACC Scholar-Athlete and the Wolpe Female Fourth-Year Letterwinner as a senior while also bowling in the winter. Her accolades on the lanes include a first place finish at the GLBC III and being named Second Team All-GLBC.
Vandeberg earned her bachelor's in Kinesiology at Rockford, specializing in teaching. She is currently working on her master's of Teaching while serving on the Regents' softball coaching staff.
