Senior running back Jack Carey has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 3, 2024. Carey scored a trio of touchdowns in Rockford's 59-6 win against Eureka. He ran the ball 23 times for 159 yards, to average 6.9 yards per carry, and scored his tenth rushing touchdown of the season. He also caught 7 passes for 86 yards and 2 more touchdowns. Carey now leads the NACC in five statistical categories, ranks second in another, and is in the top 40 nationally in each of them. He leads the NACC in all-purpose yards per game (131.6), rushing touchdowns (10), points per game (9.8), total points (78) and total touchdowns (13) and is second in rushing yards (777). Carey is 17th in NCAA Division III in total touchdowns, 18th in total points, 20th in scoring, 23rd in rushing touchdowns, 29th in all-purpose yards and 39th in rushing yards.Â
