ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Regents women's volleyball team (2-12), 0-4 NACC) lost all 3 sets of their Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match Saturday afternoon to a tough Marian University Sabres (9-6, 2-2 NACC) team in a match where Rockford was unable to really find any kind of lead in any of the sets. They would give up streaks of points that would lead to 3 straight Sabres set wins.
First Set
- Rockford started ahead in the first set 3-1, with help from an ace by Casey Sheetz.
- Marian would jump into the lead at 6-3, resulting in a Regents run to tie it at 7-7.
- From this point it was all Marian, they would put up a 20-9 score, and the Regents would try to climb back, including an ace by Della Crain, but couldn't make it happen, 25-16 Sabres.
Second Set
- Marian held steady control from the first serve, but Rockford held in as best they can.
- Brynn Atwell would have an ace to help keep the set hopes alive down 22-17, but Marian would slam the door before Rockford could take the lead, 25-19 Marian.
Third Set
- The final set of the afternoon saw Marian pour on streaks of points, jumping out 10-3 to start
- 14-5 turned into 18-8, and then another ace by Brynn Atwell to make it 18-11 would be one of the final points of the night as Marian would finish up the match, 25-13.

The RU women's volleyball team will be on the road next Tuesday to face Aurora University in another NACC competition. First serve is set for 7pm.
