Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Second Quarter Struggles Hurt Regents

GRINNELL, Iowa - The Rockford University women's basketball team fell 67-53 on the road late Saturday afternoon to Grinnell College. The Regents again played solid basketball for three quarters, but it was ultimately a poor second quarter that decided the game. Rockford was outscored 22-8 in the period, with the 14-point differential being the exact margin of victory for the Pioneers. The Regents were just 2-for-11 from the floor in the second quarter, while Grinnell went a blistering 10-of-19. However, in the other three quarters combined, Rockford played even with the Pioneers and actually slightly outshot Grinnell 43.6% to 42.9%.
