ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team dropped a close game 54-50 to the visiting Concordia Wisconsin Falcons in a Saturday afternoon NACC matchup. The Falcons had the advantage in field goal percentage (34%-26.7%), the Regents were able to edge the Falcons out in three-point percentage though shooting 6-21 (28.6%) to the Falcons 2-11 (18.2%) day. The Falcons also edged out Rockford in free throws, going 18-23 (78.3%) and Rockford 12-19 (63.2%). Defensively, Rockford forced 17 turnovers and they were able to convert those into 11 points. CUW was able to force 19 turnovers and turned those into 14 points.
- Lexi Keating got the scoring starting for the Regents a minute into the first quarter with a three-pointer.
- The Regents found themselves down 18-11 midway through the second quarter
- Rockford was able to battle back to a 21-17 score after a free throw from Audrina Terhune to cut the CUW lead to 4 with 3 minutes to play in the half.
- The Regents went on a slight 7-6 run over the Falcons and made it a 27-24 ball game going into the half.
- CUW got out to a 35-27 lead over Rockford midway through the third quarter.
- The Regents responded quickly though with a 3 points from Jocelyn Callahan and D'Asia Washington and a lay up by Katie Paredes to tie the game 35-35.
- The Regents were able to take the lead after a three-pointer from Lexi Keatin to give Rockford a 42-39 lead.
- The Falcons and Regents were able to battle back and forth, but CUW walked away on top with a 54-50 win over Rockford.
- Lexi Keating led the team with 11 points, also grabbing 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
- Tyra Clark had 9 points, a season-high 12 rebounds, also getting 2 assists and a steal.
- Grace Vyborny had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and new season highs with 3 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals.
