ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team won easily in straight sets (25-14, 25-19, 25-11) on Senior Day against Alverno College. Rockford did not trail at any point in the match after the Interno held a 6-5 lead early in the first set. Statistically, the Regents had one of their better matches of the season. Rockford finished with a .241 hitting percentage, which is by far the highest in any NACC match thus far this year, and had a season-high 12 service aces. The win gives Rockford its fifth straight victory over Alverno.

- Alverno played its best volleyball over the first 11 points of the opening set when it lead 6-5.Â
- The Regents promptly scored the next three points, the final two on service aces by Melody Moreno, and never trailed for the remainder of the match.Â
- With Rockford still only up one at 11-10, the Regents went on a 6-1 run to take a 17-11 lead.Â
- After two quick points by Alverno, Rockford scored eight of the final nine points, including a kill by Madisen Perry to end the first set and give the Regents a 1-0 advantage.Â
- Rockford opened the second set on a 5-1 run, including scoring the first three points.Â
- The Regents' lead hovered around three points until very late in the set. Rockford closed with a 5-2 spurt for the 25-19 win and to take a commanding 2-0 lead. Madisen Perry led the offensive attack with two kills and an ace over that span.Â
- The third set saw the Regents leap out to a quick 7-3 lead. Seniors Colleen Douglas and Madisen Perry bookended the run with a kill each.
- After the Inferno clawed its way back to within two points at 8-6, Rockford ran off the next seven points to seize control of the set. Leila Cooks ended with the run with a kill and then three straight service aces.Â
- Alverno momentarily made it a five-point game, but Rockford went on a 10-1 run, capped off by Tamsy Leverton ace, to win the set 25-11 and the match 3-0.
- Madisen Perry tallied a team-high 10 kills, 14 digs, 3 aces and an assist.Â
- Melody Moreno had 8 kills, 9 digs, 3 assists and 2 aces.Â
- Jasmine Landberg finished with a match-high 21 digs, 6 assists and an ace.Â
- Leila Cooks had 12 digs, 10 assists, 4 aces, 2 kills and a block.Â
