ELGIN, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's basketball team lost to non-conference opponent, Judson University, 74-43 on Tuesday.
Te Simpson notched another double-double for the Regents with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Nia Wilkerson scored 15 points to lead the team in scoring.
After a back-and-forth start for Rockford, the Eagles ended the first quarter with a 16-5 run after the Regents held an 8-6 lead.
Judson (IL) ultimately pulled away in the second quarter, as the Eagles outscored the Regents 27-9 to have a 49-22 lead at the break.
In the second half, the defenses stepped up for both teams as both combined to score 46 points in the half, as Judson (IL) outscored Rockford 25-21 in both the third and fourth quarters.
On the afternoon, the Regents shot an overall field goal percentage of 34.0% and 25.0% from three. Unfortunately for the Regents, they committed 35 turnovers, which played a big role in the Eagles' runs in the first half.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 3, when they will host Edgewood University in the Seaver Center at 1 p.m. CST.
