FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Rockford University men's volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-16, 25-12, 25-19) on the road Saturday afternoon at Marian University. Although Rockford held early leads in both the first and second sets, the Regents were simply unable build any momentum offensively throughout the match. Rockford had 25 kills but amassed 20 attack errors, compared to 29 kills and only 6 attack errors for the Sabres.  
 
	- Rockford led for much of the early portion of the first set, with its largest lead coming at both 3-1 and 7-5. 
- However, the Sabres promptly went on an 11-2 run to seize control of the set. 
- Rockford was able to cut the deficit back down to five at 18-13 on a Joseis Dixon kill. 
- Unfortunately, Marian outscored Rockford 7-3 en route to winning the opening set 25-16. 
- The second set was actually much closer early on than what the final score might indicate. 
- The Regents scored the first point on an Isaiah Dixon kill, but the Sabres responded with the next two points before building their lead to five at 10-5. 
- Rockford responded with a 5-3 spurt of its own to get back to within three at 13-10. Three different Regents had a kill over that span. 
- Unfortunately, that is where things began to go south. Marian closed on a 12-2 run to win the set 25-12 and take a 2-0 lead. 
- The third and final set was up for grabs the entire way. The were a total of eight ties over the first 22 points, with neither team leading by more than two. 
- With the score tied at 11-11, Marian used a 6-1 run to take the largest lead for either team in the set thus far.
- The Regents were able to chip away at the Sabre lead and get it all the way down to two at 19-17 off a Josh Albers kill.
- However, Marian ended the match by scoring six of the final eight points to win the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.
