Bill Langston led the Rockford University baseball program for 23 years as its head coach. In addition to his duties on diamond, Langston also spent over two decades as Rockford's Director of Athletics and a professor of physical education.

Langston retired as the winningest coach in Rockford College history. Coach Langston finished his career with 328 wins, two Northern Illinois Iowa Conference Championships and a pair of postseason appearances. He was also named NIIC Coach of the Year in 1991 when Rockford posted an 8-2 NIIC record to win the conference title. During his tenure, Langston coached 58 All-NIIC selections, 10 NCAA III All-Region players, 17 NIIC All-Scholastic picks and one Academic All-American.
