Mark Bernhardy made an immediate impact on the Regent baseball program as a freshman in 1976 when he led the team in hitting. However, it was his greatness on the mound during the remainder of his career which cemented his place in Regents history. Being named All-NIIC in 1977, 78 and 79 was just the start to his illustrious career. In 1978 Mark gained fame as he tossed a no-hitter against George Williams College and earned All-NAIA District 20 honors. He was also no slouch in the classroom as he was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-American Baseball Team and the NIIC All-Scholastic Team.

In his senior year, Mark capped off a stellar career as both a captain and being named the team's MVP. At the end of his career, Bernhardy was the Regents career leader in strikeouts (173) and complete games (23). He also held the record for most strikeouts in a game (15).

Mark graduated in 1979 with a degree in Mathematics.

Career: 1976-79
